Gliding Through Grammar Review Do you ever get hit by a dangling modifier? Are your infinitives splitting? Let's face it, grammar can get messy, especially if you don't know how to operate it. Although you don't usually SEE the engine of the car you're driving, you're not going to get very far if that engine isn't working properly. This class will get “under the hood" and see what it takes to make our language engine hum! We'll study parts of speech, sentence structure, subject/verb agreement, punctuation and more. You will even learn the lost art of sentence diagramming. (It's cooler than you think.) Students should have some prior familiarity with parts of speech and basic grammar rules, as we'll cover these areas quickly. Time: 1pm |
