Repeats first semester’s curriculum

A study on events which led to the Civil War and analysis of the struggle between states rights and preservation of the federal union. Studies will explore perspectives held by opposing parties at the outset of war, examine major civil and military leaders, consider the life of the average soldier, discuss the North’s naval blockade and its effect on the Confederation, and visit the war on the plains. Approximately half an hour of homework each week.
